MICROGROMS  SURF  CLUB  SA  INC  RUNS  REGULAR  SURFING  CONTESTS TO MODIFIED SURFING  AUSTRALIA  RULES  IN AN ANNUAL  COMPETITIVE PROGRAM. CONTESTS WILL BE HELD AT LOCATIONS WHICH ARE CONSIDERED CONTESTABLE AND SUITABLE TO THE SKILL LEVEL OF EACH DIVISION.

COME AND TRY

At the beginning of each season Microgroms invite you to come and join the fun, and try out competing in your first competition for free. We advertise this on our social media sites, through flyers your likely to find at your local surf club, on local radio and through school newsletters. You can register and ‘buy’ your free ticket on trybooking.com.

Our COME AND TRY day is set for February 16th 2025. Kids can participate in ANY division. COME AND TRY location will be posted on our social media sites (instrgram and facebook) the night before the event. We predominantly hold comps on the Mid Coast - Seaford area, or the South Coast - Middleton Beach.

Your child will be placed into a heat, surfing with other kids. Each heat is 20 minutes and they will surf at least 2 heats for C grade and potentially more heat for B grad and A grade, depending on results.

Your child will need to bringtheir own board to surf. We do not supply surfboards.

All Surfers compete at their own risk and as such are assumed to be competent surfers and swimmers, having an appropriate level of skill and experience for the conditions. No Surfer is compelled to surf but all members are given an opportunity to participate in the Club Contests.

The Sports Vouchers program is a Government of South Australia initiative administered by the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing. The program provides an opportunity for primary school aged children from Reception to Year 9 to receive up to a $100 discount on sports or dance membership/registration fees. The purpose is to increase the number of children playing organised sport or participating in dance activities by reducing cost as a barrier.
